Development

AvantFAX was developed using PHP 5 in order to use PHP's new object-orientated programming (OOP) features and to create an expandable foundation for this web interface. MySQL was chosen because of it's speed and simplicity. However, AvantFAX is written using PEAR DB; therefore, adding support for other databases is possible.
